The Smart Campus Complaint & Response System is a student-driven initiative aimed at transforming the traditional complaint handling process into a faster, more transparent, and efficient digital system. This project was conceptualized and developed by Mr. Ashmit Kumar, a 2nd semester B.Tech (C.S.E) student, in collaboration with Ms. Kanika Devi. The system was specifically designed for Government College Dharamshala, with the aim of improving communication between students and the college administration.
The idea for this project originated from observing inefficiencies in the existing complaint system. Traditional methods relied on written applications or verbal communication, which often caused delays, miscommunication, and lack of transparency. Complaints could take days or weeks to be addressed, and students had no clear way to track progress.
To solve this, the system was designed as a centralized digital platform where students can submit complaints easily. Once submitted, complaints are automatically routed to the appropriate department, reducing delays and ensuring faster resolution.
A key feature of the system is transparency. Students can track complaint status in real time, ensuring accountability and trust. Every stage—from submission to resolution—is clearly visible.
The development involved both technical and practical contributions. Ashmit Kumar led the website development and system design, focusing on a clean and user-friendly interface. Ms. Kanika Devi contributed to the conceptual design and ensured the system addressed real student needs.
Despite challenges like limited resources and time constraints, the system was successfully built through continuous testing and improvement. This project reflects the integration of technology into institutional processes and demonstrates how innovation can solve real-world problems.
In conclusion, the Smart Campus Complaint & Response System is a practical and impactful solution that enhances campus management and student experience.
